President Ndayishimiye Visits Mining Site in Busiga

On January 9, 2025, President Evariste Ndayishimiye of Burundi, a Major General, visited the Kasenyamisange A mining site in Busiga commune, Ngozi province. This site focuses on mining coltan and cassiterite and is part of his efforts to promote responsible mining practices.


During his visit, President Ndayishimiye met with the managers of the Burundi Company Mining, which operates at the site. He urged them to ensure their activities align with Burundi's Vision 2040, a strategic plan aimed at transforming the country into a competitive economy.


The visit was conducted in a friendly and cooperative atmosphere, reflecting the government’s commitment to advancing the mining sector responsibly.
