During a gathering of CNDD-FDD party leaders in Gitega Province last Saturday, Burundi’s President, Evariste Ndayishimiye, accompanied by the First Lady, encouraged party members (Bagumyabanga) to work hard to ensure a better life for every Burundian.

The President emphasized that true victory for the CNDD-FDD party would not only come from political success but from achieving all the goals outlined in its anthem.

He stressed that the ultimate goal is for every Burundian to be prosperous, happy, and fully enjoy their civic rights. To achieve this, he urged party members to make personal changes and influence positive changes in their families and communities.

President Ndayishimiye highlighted that real leadership means driving socio-economic progress by initiating innovative projects in local communities. He reminded everyone that 2025 is a critical year for Burundians to adopt good practices and embark on the journey toward national development.

Furthermore, he insisted on the importance of results in all sectors, especially those that generate state revenue. He called for an end to the culture of merely being present at work for eight hours and instead emphasized the need for eight productive hours of work.

Finally, the President stated that for the CNDD-FDD to achieve victory, it must focus on building a new generation that works diligently and demonstrates strong patriotism
