In a recent meeting on the sidelines of the African Energy Summit held in Dar es-Salaam, Tanzania, Burundian President, H.E. General Major Ndayishimiye Evariste, and his Congolese counterpart from Brazzaville, H.E. Sassou-Nguesso Denis, discussed several crucial topics.


Their conversation focused on bilateral cooperation, the geopolitical conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC) involving Rwanda and Western countries, and the opportunities arising from the emerging multipolar world of BRICS+.


During this dialogue, which aligns with Burundi's proactive foreign policy, the leaders exchanged views on various strategic matters. Notably, the Congo Brazzaville, which is a candidate for joining BRICS+, showed keen interest in this emerging alliance in the new multipolar global scenario.
